The Diary of Mrs. X - Installment 9

This next installment of the diary is full of short entries with little tidbits of information. It's understandable how interest in writing in the diary has waned for Mrs. X at this point. Isn't that how many of us are about new goals? We have a huge amount of enthusiasm for a new goal at the beginning of the year, but it tends to peter off as the year goes on.

Sunshine had her kittens last night. She was so pleading - I let her in, put her box on the davenport & sat there with her all night while she had 'em. First of 6 born dead.

I love that she mentions she's starting to "reduce" or lose weight. And she's successful as we'll see in later installments!
She also mentions a paper drive which I'm guessing has to do with paper rationing.
It's very sad about the kittens though.
Lots of daily life things which I love because you don't really get that in regular books!
